Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  • Manuscripts should be between 4,000-8,000 words, typed in MS Word doc. format, using 12 size Times New Roman fonts, double-spaced on quarto or A4-size paper.
  • Articles will be reviewed by subject reviewers, while the editors reserve the right to edit articles for format consistency without altering the substance.
  • Level one headings are typed in ALL CAPITALS, BOLD, LEFT JUSTIFICATION 
  • Level two headings are typed in Capital-lowercase, Bold, Left Justification
  • Level three headings are typed in Capitals-lowercase, Italic-bold, Left Justification

Articles should contain:

Title (bold typed and centered)

  • An abstract of approximately should not be  more than 250 words
  • Keywords
  • Introduction (without subtitle, containing the background of the study, a short review of literature, and statement of problem/purpose of the study)
  • Method
  • Findings and Discussion
  • Conclusion and Suggestions
  • References (only the ones used in the analysis)
  • Appendices (if any)
  • The introduction is without heading and includes review of related literature and research purpose in essay style.
  • The list of references includes only those that are cited/referred to in the article.
  • The references should be presented alphabetically and chronologically, and be written in accordance with the APA style.
  • Peer reviewers will review articles. The editors reserve the right to edit the article for format consistency without altering the substance.
  • Manuscripts should be sent in Microsoft Word format through Make a Submission

Submission Policy
Submission of an article to IJELaSS implies that the work described:

  1. Has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract, part of a published lecture, or academic thesis).
  2. Is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  3. Has been approved for submission by all authors and, where applicable, by the responsible authorities at the institution where the work was conducted.
  4. Will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or any other language, without the written consent of IJELaSS.

The Editors of IJELaSS reserve the right to edit or alter submitted manuscripts to ensure clarity, readability, and conformity with the journal's standards. However, authors will receive proofs for approval prior to publication.

Copyright Policy
Authors of articles published in IJELaSS retain the copyright of their work, with the journal granted first publication rights. This ensures that the authors maintain ownership of their intellectual property while allowing IJELaSS to disseminate the work.

The journal and its publisher are not responsible for any subsequent use of the published articles. Authors are responsible for taking any necessary legal action in cases of copyright infringement.

By submitting their work to IJELaSS, authors agree to these terms and confirm compliance with the journal’s policies.
